SUMMARY:Arduino Basic Workshop!
DESCRIPTION:Our second arduino basic workshop this semester! Another great opportunity of playing with arduino in a social context\, exploring how Arduino can be used as a way of combining physical inputs and outputs! More info to come \nBring your computer! All students welcome \nSlides link: https://www.figma.com/proto/OhcCjFMbPQ44ndYgHaYtNb/AIRLAB-workspace?type=design&node-id=3027-6632&t=nOBdEmlMtTO21Ds2-1&scaling=min-zoom&page-id=2189%3A2&starting-point-node-id=3027%3A6632&mode=design

SUMMARY:Feminist Technoscience Film Club vol. 2
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce our second film in the Feminist Technoscience Film Club! We will be watching Crimes of the Future (2022) by David Cronenberg. The screening is open and free for all\, but registration is required and seats are limited. 🎞️ \nDoes your bed also need new software? Crimes of the Future is an edgy and playful sci-fi film that features a wide range of ideas of technologies that connect to the body. We follow two performance artists played by Viggo Mortensen and Léa Seydoux who – not undisturbingly – explore his “accelerated evolution syndrome” and new bodily sensations through performances of surgery\, assisted by creative digital gadgets. Be prepared for an estranging yet optimistic look into the future. \nAfterwards\, we will have a collective discussion on bodily relations & machines\, gender roles\, more-than-human futures and everyone’s impressions 🛸💗 \nWHAT: Screening of Crimes of the Future followed by discussion\nWHERE: The screening will take place in AIR Lab at IT University of Copenhagen.\nWHEN: April 9\, 16:30-18:45

SUMMARY:Figma beyond the screen! Exploring alternative interfaces
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the second time we’re hosting the Workshop “Figma beyond the screen”\, where we invite curious ITU students to learn how the MakeyMakey can turn any conductive object to a button. This allows for powerful and creative ways of interacting with prototypes – Figma\, or whatever you can imagine 🙂 \nOn this page\, we’ll post links to the slides of the workshop slides\, aswell as other useful resources. \nSee you in AIRLab!

SUMMARY:Andreas Refsgaard: ML5 prototyping workshop
DESCRIPTION:Niche superstar Andreas Refsgaard\, a renowned creative coder and former design student here at ITU\, swung by AIRLab on Tuesday to host a workshop. In this session\, curious students explored the possibilities of using face- and body-tracking packages for P5.js. The workshop began with Andreas demonstrating some of his prototypes\, followed by participants spending two hours playing around with the technology\, getting help from Andreas and each other. It was both fun and insightful\, and we are eagerly awaiting the next event of this nature. Workshop took place here in AIRLab\, and was set up by the student organization DAK (Design Aktivitetskomité). \nWe used the web editor for P5.js\, which possibly resulted in a new all-time low entry barrier for a software prototyping workshop. \nHere’s an example of a participant-made sketch\, allowing the user to shoot a virtual laser out of their index finger: https://editor.p5js.org/jonasniel/sketches/aKNA6htUb \nSee examples of ML5-packages in use here: https://examples.ml5js.org/ \nLink to the facebook-event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1121140105874954 \n \n
